The brief
To convert and repurpose a 19th century listed building in to 6 unique residential dwellings, and construct 2 new wings of new build properties, consisting of a mix of 36 x 1, 2 and 3 bedroom houses and duplex apartments.
The outcome
Listed buildings come with their own set of individual problems, so we had to problem solve as we went along as we got further in to the project, but it helped us to progress and learn as a company, and the end result was a beautiful conversion and repurpose of this 19th century building in to 6 residential dwellings, all with their own individual character and quirks. These are unique and not your every day ‘new build’ homes. Alongside that we had the construction of the Northern and Southern new build wings, and these turned out to be some lovely houses which we are very proud of, and our first properties sold through the Help to Buy Scheme, so we are pleased to have provided families and individuals with their first homes. This is a project we are really proud of and hope to do more of this type of build.
